Cedars of Lebanon Elopement Wedding | Tennessee State Park Wedding
What better way for a Tennessee couple to celebrate their love and shared passion for the outdoors than with a hiking elopement wedding in Cedars of Lebanon State Park? It’s truly a hidden gem in the heart of Tennessee.
When I went scouting Cedars of Lebanon for Mady & Ezekiel’s upcoming elopement wedding, I was blown away by all that the park had to offer! I ended up spending half a day there, driving around the winding roads, hiking the Hidden Springs Trail, and exploring the beautiful paths made out of recycled rubber behind the Nature Center. There are flowers everywhere behind the Nature Center because Cedars of Lebanon is working hard to enhance their ecosystems with Master Gardener maintained bee and butterfly gardens.
Vows with a View (and Maybe a Few Squirrels)
If your idea of a perfect wedding involves wildflowers, winding trails, and maybe a little mud on your shoes, Cedars of Lebanon State Park is basically calling your names. Let’s make your elopement the kind of adventure you’ll still be laughing about when you’re old and gray (and probably still finding cedar needles in your backpack). Why settle for ordinary when you can have wild, wonderful, and totally YOU?
Cedars of Lebanon State Park was the Platinum Winner of the 2022 Go Green With Us Sustainability Award. As an advocate for Leave No Trace, I love to see this and all of the efforts that they’ve put in to preserve this Tennessee park. Learn more about Leave No Trace.
Mady & Ezekiel spent time in the delicate gardens behind the Nature Center, hiked along the Hidden Springs Trail, and explored the ecosystems that make Cedars of Lebanon the unique and beautiful park that it is.

CEDARS OF LEBANON IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SETTING FOR AN ELOPEMENT WEDDING!
Here are a few more reasons why I recommend Cedars of Lebanon State Park for your elopement wedding:
- It’s a serene setting, surrounded by nature.
- It’s a relatively small park, so it’s easy to get around and find the perfect spot for your ceremony and photos.
- There’s a good variety of locations to choose from, including forests, meadows, gardens, and streams.
- It’s only about 40 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee.
- Renting a venue or pavilion is affordable.
- Horseback riding is available with stables located within the park.
- There’s a disc golf course.
- Sadie Ford Heritage Farm and Cultural Arts Center– a real working farm with animals!
- There is a campground and cabins available for rent.
- You can explore Jackson Cave (with a permit). It’s over a mile in length!
- Downtown Lebanon, which by the way looks like something straight out of a Hallmark movie, is just a few minutes down the road. There are some FANTASTIC places to eat there! My favorites:
- Cedar City Brewing Company (spicy pimento cheese burger)
- Town Square Social (any flavor pizza)
You could even make a whole weekend of it, and spend some time in Nashville as well. Here are some ideas for things to do in Nashville, Tennessee.
